Fortunately we had finished all the workshops for the Shout Out project when lockdown happened, but our exhibition at Soft Touch Arts has had to be cancelled. So not to be deterred we are taking the exhibition online, a website will be live very soon, showing all the amazing work from our young people. Art, music and a documentary film.
After 5 months the finished piece is made up from residents and ex residents art work on 80 tiles.
Now sitting in pride of place in the orchard garden – Health & Well-being team at YMCA Derbyshire – thank you for your support!

The exhibition InVisible Voices was opened by the Lord Mayor of Leicester. Friends, families, creatives, homeless workers, councillors and dignitaries came together to celebrate the year long project working with the homeless and vulnerable of Leicester. The art work looked amazing with Radio Leicester, the Mercury and the Big Issue there to record the event.
Really proud!…after a year working with the homeless community in Leicester we have been successful in gaining funding from the National Lottery to move the workshops to different centres, to work with all age groups.
Our year long project In Visible Voices will culminate in an exhibition at the Adult Education College on Wellington St Leicester in April. We want to celebrate the amazing work from our many artists.
